Zak’s journey so far
Zak started on the Moving On project after realising he’d previously taken for the wrong course for him. He decided an apprenticeship would be the better option for him but needed guidance and support to achieve this.
How has Zak benefited from being involved?
Zak has benefited from the support offered through the programme as well as the qualifications he has been able to achieve. He is now much more focused on where he wants to be.
What skills has Zak learned?
During his time on the Moving On programme, Zak gained his Level 2 Functional Skills in English as well as two employability awards. He also completed a 7 week work placement at the British Heart Foundation.
What are Zak’s future plans?
With the support of his tutors and the skills that he learnt whilst on the Moving On programme, Zak was able to secure an apprenticeship at Trillium Products based in Accrington.
